The Government has announced some expansions to the pre-existing Home Energy Grants.

I attach a useful leaflet which highlights the main grants out there for homeowners, landlords and also businesses. The purpose of these grants is to make your home or work place more energy efficient. These grants are no longer about just insulating your property but also looking at ways to improve heating through upgraded control panels, utilising renewable sources such as Solar Thermal grants for water heating, and maybe even upgrading the windows.

This leaflet is not going to answer all your questions but is going to give you a starting point to understand what is available and to whom.

Depending on your circumstances you may qualify for a free home energy upgrade.

• Maybe you have just bought your home and you are looking to improve the overall BER rating with a wide range of energy upgrading solutions before you start painting and decorating.

or

• You could be someone who is working on improving the energy efficiency of your home on a piece-by-piece basis.
